These terms govern your use of budwyse. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. The Service
my is a personal budgeting application that helps individuals track income, manage spending across budget categories, and monitor recurring subscriptions. The app operates on a cycle-based model anchored to your personal date.
my offers a free tier with core budgeting features and a premium tier with additional features including bank connection and advanced analytics.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use my. By using the app, you confirm that you are 18 or older. If we discover that a user is under 18, we will terminate their account.
You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Do not share your account credentials with anyone else. my accounts are for individual personal use only and may not be used for business or commercial purposes.
You may create only one account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions is not permitted.
4. Free Tier and Premium
my's free tier includes core budgeting features and is available at no cost. The premium tier is available as a paid subscription and unlocks additional features.
Subscriptions are billed through Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS). All billing, refunds, and subscription management are handled by the respective store. We do not process payment card details directly.
If you cancel your premium subscription, you retain access to premium features until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. After that, your account reverts to the free tier. Your data is not deleted.
5. Bank Connection
If you choose to connect a bank account, you authorise my to retrieve read-only transaction data via our open banking partner. This connection does not allow my or its partners to move money, make payments, or modify your bank account in any way.
You can revoke the bank connection at any time from within the app. Revoking the connection does not delete historical transaction data already synced unless you explicitly delete it.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use my for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to access other users' data
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app
- Use automated tools to access or scrape the service
- Misrepresent your identity or provide false information
7. Data and Privacy
Your use of data within my is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. By agreeing to these terms, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.
8. Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen within the app. Upon requesting deletion, your personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days. Local data on your device is removed when you uninstall the app.
If you delete your account while on an active premium subscription, you will not receive a refund for any remaining paid period. Refund requests must go through the App Store or Google Play.
9. Disclaimers
my is a budgeting tool, not a financial advisor. Nothing in the app constitutes financial advice, investment advice, or regulated financial services. We make no guarantee that using the app will improve your financial situation.
The app is provided 'as is.' We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for losses resulting from service outages, bugs, or inaccurate data.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, my's liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the app is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months prior to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the app grows. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app message before they take effect. Continued use of the app after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
